Flyer Drop

Saturday 8th February 2025 - 11am - 12pm, Please can folks (especially those local to Oxford but not otherwise involved in Isis roles) meet outside St Michael and All Angels Church, Lonsdale Rd, Summertown and we'll do an hour of flyering in the area local to the church. We did this in September for the first time and it was rather fun! A good opportunity to meet people who might be interested in hearing a local orchestra - bring a wooden spoon or spatula.

There is residential parking in the roads around the church. Do look at the parking restrictions as they vary a lot from bay to bay, however there is more parking available the further you go away from Summertown, e.g. on Portland Rd, Kings Cross Rd and Hamilton Rd.

Note also that there is a foot path (King George's Walk) which is a shortcut from Portland Rd to the church.

Bus

There are bus stops on the Banbury Rd, with frequent buses.

Cycle

There are several hoops for cycle parking next to the church on the north side, around the corner from the main entrance.

Matrix Arts Centre, Sutton Courtenay [Google Maps] - OX14 4UA

Car

Car parking is adjacent to the centre. at the school itself, which we will probably all fit in, but if not, there are a few on-road parking spaces further down Terrett Avenue.

Bus

Buses serving Sutton Courtenay are only once an hour; it is the number 33 bus service from the Oxford Bus Company, between Abgindon and Didcot.

Risinghurst Community Centre [Google Maps] - OX3 8HA

Car

There is a small amount of parking in front of the community centre. For those with easy-to-carry instruments, there is on-road parking available, often some on the main road (Kiln Lane) itself, but there is usually more available down the side-road (Richards Way).

Bus

Risinghurst is now served by the new bus service no.14, which operates up to mid-evening. Other than that, the nearest stops are on the A40, near Collinwood Road.

Cycle

There is cycle parking (Sheffield hoops) at the community centre.
